Privacy policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

1. Who we are

This website (quantmanager.io) is operated by BN Digital Ltd, 1st Floor, 85 Great Portland Street, London W1W 7LT, United Kingdom ("Quant", "we", "us"). We are the controller responsible for the personal data described in this notice.

As we are established in the UK and offer this site to visitors in the European Union, both the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR apply to our processing; references to "GDPR" below cover both.

2. The short version

We keep data collection to a minimum. This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools, and shows no third-party advertising. We only process personal data when you actively give it to us — by joining the beta waitlist or contacting us by email — plus the technical server logs that operating any website entails.

3. What data we process, and why

3.1 Beta waitlist

When you request access to the Quant private beta, we store:

  • your email address,
  • the language version of the site you signed up from,
  • the page the signup form was on,
  • the address of the page that referred you (HTTP referrer), and
  • your browser's user-agent string.

We use this to manage the waitlist, send you a confirmation email, and invite you to the beta when a seat opens up. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract). The referrer and user-agent are stored on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding where signups come from and in preventing abuse of the form.

We do not use your email address for marketing beyond communications about the beta itself, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

3.2 Email correspondence

If you email us, we process your address and the contents of your message to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f) GDPR, depending on whether the enquiry relates to a contract).

3.3 Server logs

Like every website, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical access data (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user-agent, referrer) in server logs. We use these logs solely to operate the site securely and diagnose faults — our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short, rolling period and are not merged with other data.

4. Cookies and tracking

The public website sets no cookies and embeds no analytics, tracking pixels, or social-media widgets. Because of this, no consent banner is required or shown. Should this change, we will update this notice and ask for consent where the law requires it.

5. Who receives your data

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR):

  • DigitalOcean, LLC (USA) — hosting of the website and its database on servers located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Any access from outside the UK/EEA is safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses included in DigitalOcean's data processing agreement.
  • Resend, Inc. (USA) — delivery of transactional email such as the waitlist confirmation. The associated transfer to the USA is safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses included in Resend's data processing agreement.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not disclose it to other third parties unless required by law.

6. How long we keep data

  • Waitlist data is kept for the duration of the beta programme and deleted no later than 12 months after the programme ends, unless you have become a customer in the meantime or ask us to delete it earlier.
  • Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any statutory retention periods that apply.
  • Server logs are retained for a short, rolling period (typically no more than 30 days).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16),
  • have your data erased (Art. 17),
  • restrict processing (Art. 18),
  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20), and
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21).

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise any of these rights, email info@quantmanager.io — leaving the waitlist is as simple as asking.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO, ico.org.uk); in the EU, the authority of the member state where you live or work.

8. Is providing data required?

No. You can browse the entire website without providing any personal data. Providing your email address is required only if you want to join the beta waitlist.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

10. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our data processing changes — for example, when the Quant application launches. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
